About: ALETHEA PASCASCIO

***************** A Fresh And Exciting New Voice

Alethea Pascascio initiated National Forgiveness Month after being inundated with letters from people who read Bag Lady and realized that one of their greatest issues in life is unforgiveness.

Ms. Pascascio's motto is "Your life is not about you. It's about using your experiences to help others." And out of this belief came her first two books, the best selling 'self-help novel', Bag Lady and non-fiction title, Help Wanted: A Woman's Guide to Strategically Position Men In Her Life. Her work has been reviewed in numerous magazines and newspapers, and she has been interviewed on several radio programs.

In addition to her writing accomplishments, Alethea Pascascio is a much sought-after speaker, sharing her knowledge of forgiveness, relationships, and the self-publishing industry to audiences across the U.S. and in her newsletter (www.newsletter.queenpublications.com).

BOOKS

Womb Child **MAY 2008 **

SUMMARY: Womb Child is a groundbreaking yet heart-warming tale narrated completely by a fetus.
Meet Israel- predestined to negotiate peace between two countries that will be on the brink of a nuclear war. He spends 9 months ‘on the inside’ determined to etch his God-given purpose and assignment to memory. But when circumstances ‘on the outside’ seem to spiral out of control, even Israel’s phenomenal wisdom isn’t enough to keep him from doubting if his sovereign mission will be completed.

Will he make it out of the womb alive or will his parent’s actions change the course of an entire world?

Help Wanted: A Woman's Guide To Strategically Position Men In Her Life **MAY 2007 **

SUMMARY: Delivering a new perspective on relationships, Help Wanted, reveals why women will improve their odds of finding the right man/men with preparation and having self-confidence. This book places women behind the hiring desk with the right to add to and/or eliminate from their outer, inner, and innermost circles as they deem necessary. An early exercise suggests that women make detailed lists of the qualities they're looking for in a relationship. This will help them determine if they are seeking to 'hire' a friend (Entry level), boyfriend (Mid level), or husband (Executive level/CEO). There are also lists of interview' questions to help pre-qualify and position candidates correctly because some friends shouldn't become boyfriends and some boyfriends shouldn't become husbands. The point of it all is to have a screening process, so you won't waste valuable time trying to do things like turn the wrong man into a husband!

BAG LADY: **APRIL 2006**
SUMMARY: After three decades of utter dysfunction and regret, of bitter jealousy and shame, of broken hopes and intentions, can one really get a new lease on life? This is a question that Alethea Pascascio raises in her debut novel, Bag Lady, a true-to-life exploration of the ambitions and failures of womanhood in the 21st Century. But Bag Lady is ultimately the story of one woman, Faith Donnovan. At thirty years of age, Faith finds herself at her grandmother's funeral with a new man on her arm, Justin, an exotic and dashing Central American, who might just be the one to finally make her happy. Faith's sister Nicole's jealousy is immediately apparent to all present, forcing Faith to remind her of all her past misfortune. With this twist of sibling rivalry, the novel unfolds into a gripping account of Faith's past, beginning with her troubled childhood in the home of an alcoholic and abusive step-father. The in-home flare-ups are too much for Faith who, like Nicole before her, leaves home with a man on her mind and a monkey on her back, beginning the series of misfortune and missed opportunities that will weigh her down in a mire of emotional baggage. Finally, after two disastrous marriages, an abortion and an unrelenting stream of personal dysfunction, she meets and marries Justin Herrera. Will the third time be the charm? Will Justin's love and the budding love for herself give Faith enough strength to leave her baggage behind?

PRESS RELEASE

September Declared National Forgivess Month

Chicago, IL - July 13, 2007- When we forgive, we’re choosing to be free from emotions that adversely affect our health. According to Mr. Everett L. Worthington, Jr., Ph.D., Campaign Executive Director (A Campaign For Forgiveness Research), “Forgiveness is both a decision and a real change in emotional experience. That change in emotion is related to better mental and physical health.” Today, Alethea Pascascio, owner of Queen Publications and author of best selling ‘self-help novel’, Bag Lady stated, “We are declaring September as National Forgiveness Month and expect it to benefit people across the entire world. An entire month is being dedicated to this issue for several reasons. First, people need time to muster up enough courage to forgive. Also, anything that is done consistently for thirty days will most likely become a habit and a part of your character. So for thirty days we’re challenging everyone to focus on developing their ‘forgiveness muscle’ because its strength can move their lives to the next level. Of course, a person can forgive at any time but we’re asking everyone to pay special attention to it during the month of September.” To kick off National Forgiveness Month, Queen Publications is sponsoring a contest. The contest will award prizes for the best (75 words or less) responses to “Why I need to forgive someone.” They are looking for sincere yet inspirational answers like, “The abuse and neglect I experienced during childhood has left me with a negative view of men. To date all of my relationships have brought me nothing but pain. Forgiving the men in my childhood will release me from the shackles of the past so I can recognize and accept authentic love into my life. I finally want to be free.” And if that’s not inspiring enough, read the forgiveness story of a woman whose husband was killed during the September 11th tragedy: http://www.beautybeyondtheashes.com/. “There are many people suffering with headaches, body aches, and even heart disease all because of unforgiveness”, Ms. Pascascio stated. “It’s crucial for everyone to understand that there is much more to forgiveness than simply balancing their emotional state, it can be a matter of life and death.” So before you run out and buy that bottle of pain reliever or spend money on those doctors’ office visits, search your life with a fine tooth comb to ensure that unforgiveness isn’t the root of what ails you. Send all contest entries to: forgiveness@queenpublications.com by September 20,2007. To read some interesting facts about Forgiveness and Unforgiveness and get contest details, please go to: www.forgiveness.queenpublications.com Alethea Pascascio is the author of Help Wanted and Bag Lady which can be purchased through Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.
